Julia Hörnle, Independent Board Member
Julia Hörnle is a senior lecturer in Internet Law at Queen Mary School of Law, University of London, having previously practised commercial law in a major city law firm.
Julia has researched and published widely in the field of internet law and regulation of the internet, with special emphasis on jurisdictional issues, consumer protection laws and child protection. She has been instructed to act as expert to advise on consumer policy by the Information Commissioner, the UK Government, the European Commission and the Chinese Government.
In 2004 she wrote an expert report on Marketing to Children on the Internet and in 2006 and 2010 she produced a critical review of aspects of consumer protection for the UK Government.
